What is a Placement?
Many further education training courses in Australia include a mandatory work placement.
This involves visiting an approved employer for a set number of hours* to gain valuable hands-on, practical experience in your sector. It sits aside your in-class or online learning delivered by a tutor and is considered essential to gaining essential skills and becoming job-ready.
Toward the end of your time on placement, an assessor from Collaboration Learning will come and observe you at work, giving you a ‘pass’ or ‘fail’ towards your overall course mark.

How Placement Works with Collaboration Learning
Work Placement Support from Collaboration Learning helps you secure your essential practical experience with your employer of choice.
Students are encouraged to locate their preferred placement facility independently, giving you complete flexibility on who it’s with and where. Collaboration Learning will then support students in this process in coordinating with the facility all of the paperwork and requirements to confirm placement. Collaboration also has an extensive network of employers that will support student placement opportunities, these facilities will also be accessible for students to access for placement if convenient to them.
